Bowness is located in the northwest part of Calgary wherein the residents of the community are known to be called as Bownesians. The community has their very own park, called the Bowness Park where residents can enjoy certain summer sports, picnics, boating, and even ice skating during the winter.     The community is experiencing redevelopment to suit the people’s needs when it comes to commercial and housing properties. Residents do not only enjoy the serenity of this community but as well as the annual events that take place in Bowness. Some of the events are the Lions Club Stampede Parade and Breakfast, which is held every Stampede’s first weekend, Tour de Bowness, which is held every month of July’s end and the annual Harvest Fair, which is held every September.
