Currie Barracks

    Currie Barracks is one of the newest residential neighborhood in the southwest part of Calgary’s innercity. It is located between Sarcee Road and Crowchild Trail. The area was first used for military purposes during the year 1911 and by 1995, the Canada Lands Company purchased the area. The area was then developed to be a haven for many of its residents today. image1 (1)

    Residents in Currie Barracks can easily get whatever amenities and services that they need since the area is near many business establishments. Some of these establishments are the Mt. Royal College Bookstore, Safeway, The Hub, Tim Hortons, and Mucho Burrito. Of course, there are parks in the area where residents who have active lifestyles can benefit to, including Good Companions Park and the Garrison Square Park.

    For the schools, parents can enroll their children at Banbury Crossroads School, Mountainview Academy, and Clear Water Academy.
