Located in the southwest Calgary is Shaganappi, which is an inner city community that is only a few minutes away from downtown. The community is consists of a residential area and the Shaganappi Point Golf Course. It was established in the year 1949 and some older homes are now being replaced with newer ones.
Shaganappi is close to Bow Trail and 17th Avenue, which will let residents access different services and amenities that they need. Killarney Rec. Centre and Westbrook Mall are located on the west side, where residents can also find the amenities that they need. There are also schools in the community where children can go to, including Alex Ferguson Elementary School, Salvation Army Children’s Village School and Vincent Massey and Mount Royal Junior Highs.
